​Our founder Stephanie has a single-minded vision: to realise gender parity in the corporate world.

A consultant, trainer, speaker and coach, she is the founder of Stephanie Aitken Consulting and
the Gender Harmony Collective – a pioneering initiative to take us beyond gender equality.

STEPHANIE'S JOURNEY - in her words...

“I’m an international kid, raised across Brazil, London and Geneva, with Venezuelan, American, Scottish and Irish heritage. My corporate career is just as varied, spanning 25+ years, including a decade as an in-house lawyer for MTV and Channel 4 - working on projects like the MTV Music Awards, Apple iTunes and Stand Up to Cancer.

Though stimulating, deep reflection revealed what truly fulfilled me: fostering people’s growth. Watching someone discover their own power lights me up in a way contracts never could. This led me to retrain in neuro-linguistic programming, coaching and transformational facilitation, to then deliver interpersonal skills training for organisations such as Network Rail, Dentons, Fieldfisher and Barclays for several years.

Through this work, I uncovered a stark reality. Talented, ambitious women often step back before reaching senior leadership, deterred by persistent barriers and exhausting demands in a male-dominated culture. Those who do reach the top often face unsustainable sacrifices, isolation and burnout, while their organisations miss out on the enormous benefits gender balance brings.

I knew I had to act. This wasn’t just business, it felt like a calling.

​

So I pivoted to deliver targeted coaching and workshops that tackle these challenges head-on, accelerating women’s career paths and amplifying their impact.

​

Alongside this, I spent five years as a lead trainer at One of Many, then the UK’s largest women’s personal development company. Guiding large groups through extended transformational programmes sharpened my skills as a speaker and deepened my ability to create meaningful, scalable change.

​

This journey gave me unparalleled access to women’s most private fears, limitations and aspirations, insights often hidden from employers, and the ability to create transformational change at scale. I now translate these insights into broader programmes, like our Women's Leadership Programme, that mirror what women truly need to take ownership of their careers in a way they can genuinely relate to.​

However, the paradox that has become clear to me through my work and our research is this: if we truly want to advance women, we can’t focus only on women. Equity needs to be experienced by everyone. That’s why I bring a multi-faceted gender approach, designing and delivering inclusion strategies that are woven throughout organisations and support all employees.

​

I’m on wider a mission to evolve gender equality into something truly inclusive because when everyone can thrive, everyone wins.

​

I believe in nurturing myself in the process, so you’ll often find me working remotely from fabulous locations, doing yoga on rooftops and beaches, blending wanderlust with my drive to cause meaningful change.”
